Scout Association have the ideas and aim of establish the community project, as at now are looking for the friend donor to collaborate with  and establishment of that ideas, please if you are interested you can contact us.

Challenges

Tanzania like many other countries in Africa is faced with unique challenges requiring interventions/responses. This make scouting a specific orientation with the aim to responding to the needs and aspirations of the Tanzanian youth thus making scouting a reliable act in the Tanzanian civil society. Thus makes our way to implement the purpose, principles and mission of Dar-Es-Salaam Local Scout Association.

The Tanzanian society is still facing a number of problems like unemployment, violation of human rights, oppression, and poverty, ethnic strives, high school dropout rates, poor infrastructure, breakdown in family values and morals and gender disparity/imbalance etc.

Secondly, our natural resources are over exploited without replacement leading to desertification, droughts and floods. Everywhere in the country, the youth are threatened by pandemic disease i.e. HIV/AIDS, ORT, drugs abuse, malaria and many of them have found themselves in difficult circumstances especially on streets without basic needs i.e. food, shelter, clothing and lack of education. Under development of rural areas has accelerated rural-urban influx leading to uncontrolled urbanization and the development of slums and shanties.

Association, have quite a number of opportunities and strength that can be harnessed to reverse the situation; Large membership of young boys and girls in the association. Good will from the members of public and the government, good organizational structure of co-ordination and networking throughout the country. Large number of qualified trainers, scout leaders and availability of resource and reference materials.
